The most basic requirements to staying alive are to eat, drink and breathe. Each of these activities requires substances (food, water, air) to enter our bodies through our mouths. Active imaginations can add a few more things to the list, but I’m not going there.
Much is spoken of these days about toxic load and extra resistant bacteria. Whilst these can enter our bodies through our skins, I think it is logical to deduce that most toxins and bacteria will enter our body through out mouths. Bearing in mind that our mouths are designed to absorb food and water, it is the most direct route to our bloodstream. That means that toxins and bacteria also have access to this quick route to the bloodstream. Keeping the mouths clean is therefore very important to our health (as well as our social lives).
But as more and more people are realising, many toothpastes and oral hygiene products contain chemicals that are bad for us and build up our toxic load. So there you have it, do you let the bacteria get you, or do you let the toxic load get you?
Well there is actually an answer that will allow you to effectively kill the bacteria without using any chemicals such as toothpastes (and is still good for your social life). That is the Soladey Ionic Toothbrush, which has been clinically proven to be more effective than other toothbrushes.
How does it work?
The Soladey ionic toothbrush handle contains a titanium dioxide rod which is photosensitive. This means that it reacts to light (sunlight, fluorescent light, or an ordinary bulb) to create negatively charged electrons (ions). These negative ions are transferred from the rod, via optic-fibre bristles into the saliva, where they attract the positive hydrogen ions from the acid in the plaque. This breaks down plaque in your mouth on a molecular level.
The handle with the titanium rod should last for life without needing replacement, only the heads need replacing.
Benefits for your health:
1. You do not need to increase your toxic load by putting any cleaning chemicals into your mouth.
2. Apart from chemicals, many toothpastes contain abrasives that slowly scour and score the enamel on your teeth, making them vulnerable to soaking up stains from your food and drink.
3. Plaque is effectively removed.
Note: Clinical studies from several universities indicate that bacteria from plaque are a major reason for blood and digestive disorders in North America.
4. It kills the bacteria that cause cavities.
5. Rejuvenates and strengthens gums.
6. As your own saliva becomes the primary cleaning agent, it easily reaches all parts of your mouth.
Benefits for the environmental:
1. Used toothpaste goes down the drain to be absorbed by the environment (so ultimately we get it a second time round). Imagine how much toothpaste is going do the drain throughout Europe, Northern America and Asia. With an ionic toothbrush there is no toothpaste.
2. There are no batteries or moving parts to replace.
3. If you are not using batteries, toothpaste or other dental products, then you are also saving on packaging (estimated 1/3 to 2/3’s less packaging required).
4. Less water is required as there is no toothpaste to washout (just your own saliva). It is estimated that if everybody in North America used an ionic toothbrush, 1.9 trillion litres of water could be saved.
Not only is it good for your health and the environment, but as no toothpaste or batteries are required then over the long term it is also good for your wallet. Now that is unusual.
This is supported by the President of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine, Dr. Michael Margolis DDS, who says:
“Soladey is the most effective and healthy way for everyone to improve their daily oral care while reducing their costs. It is clinically proven to remove more plaque, while reducing bacteria and biofilm levels in the mouth, and can even remove tough stains”.
An estimated 16 million people in Europe and Japan use the Soladey ionic toothbrush. I have been using one (without toothpaste) for over a year now. My daughter no longer complains that I have bad breath (she’s honest if not tactful), none of my wider family have even noticed and the dentist is happy.
