The Legal Right To Decide On Your Health Solutions

April 27, 2008 · 3 Comments

There is an ever growing trend for people to turn to natural health solutions as so many pharmaceutical drugs have unpleasant side effects.  Coupled with this is a growing distrust of the pharmaceutical companies and mainstream medical systems.

Pharmaceutical companies have lobbied in both Northern America and Western Europe (European Community) to remove our legal right to decide for ourselves whether or not to take natural health supplements.

I would ask you to watch the attached video narrated by Dame Judi Dench (“M” in James Bond), which was recorded in 2005.  Although the politics quoted are now a little bit out of date, it still shows the mind set of many of our decision makers and how vulnerable our legal right to decide for ourselves is being threatened.  It is quite frightening to think that this could happen today in our democratic societies.

Dr Clark’s Cancer Protocol: Part 2

April 27, 2008 · Leave a Comment

The main reason that Dr Clark left the government cancer research after 25 years and formed her own research facility is because she could see that the research was mainly being geared to the benefit of the pharmaceutical companies.  She felt that people should have the choice of being able to treat themselves at home and not forced down the toxic route of chemotherapy.  If I can elaborate a bit further, the pharmaceutical companies cannot make a profit unless they have a product that they can patent.  Natural products and herbs usually cannot be patented as they are already in common use.

For example, centuries ago in the days of the sailing ships, the most feared disease amongst sailors was scurvy.  It was discovered by the British Navy that something as simple as putting limes in the water would prevent and cure scurvy (that is where the British nickname of Limeys comes from).  It is part of the reason why Britain had such a large empire, not only could British ships go anywhere in the world, but more importantly – the sailors would still be fit to fight when they got there.

Who would have thought that the humble lime could lead to world domination!

The active ingredient in the lime which cured scurvy is of course, vitamin C.  Now let’s put that into a modern context; no pharmaceutical company could patent the lime today (or vitamin C for that matter).  That means that nobody would be prepared to foot the bill for the mega expensive testing required today in order to prove that limes/vitamin C was in fact a “medicine” for scurvy.  A pharmaceutical company would therefore have to extract the vitamin C from the lime and attach it to another molecule, so that they could have something to patent as a ”cure for scurvy”.  The molecule that the vitamin C is attached to would by necessity have to be man-made in order to meet the requirements of the patent and this man-made element often leads to side-effects (which often require further drugs to address).

Coming back to Dr Clark, her protocol recommends many natural products and herbs, though they have to be organic and very pure in quality.  One of them for example is the common spice, turmeric.  I recently saw a report on how a pharmaceutical trial was having success against cancer with turmeric and they were hopeful of being able to make a drug out of it.

Why make a drug out of it?

Why not just use the pure turmeric like Dr Clark?

The answer is course that pure turmeric cannot be patented for huge profits.

After Dr Clark went solo, she set up a research facility in the US.  Unfortunately she was hounded out by the financial interests of the pharmaceutical companies and the medical establishment.  She therefore re-located to Mexico.  She now primarily works with cancer patients who are considered terminal by conventional medicine.  She has had so much success with these so called “terminal” patients that she can no longer be ignored and the medical establishment has been grudgingly forced to accept her.

Much of today’s so called cutting edge cancer research is implementing what Dr Clark was doing years ago.  The Clark protocol as mentioned in my previous posting on the subject is very intense and consuming.  The requirement for very pure high quality natural products also makes it very expensive.  However, if you have cancer and you have the resources (full time carers, money) it is a worthwhile protocol to pursue.  If you don’t have these resources, then it is still worth looking at and implementing whatever sections that you can do in order to support your primary treatment.

Germs That EAT Antibiotics!

April 25, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I was sent this article today which is quite unusual.  It is about germs in the soil that not only survive in the presence of 18 common antibiotics, but they actually thrive and flourish.  At present these bacteria are fairly harmless.  However, as some bacteria that are harmful have already mutated to become resistant to antibiotics, there is some concern that they too may mutate further until they become able thrive on antibiotics.  To see the full article CLICK HERE.

Chemically Safe Products For Cleaning Your House

April 25, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Here are a few ideas to reduce the toxicity of your house.

Distilled Vinegar (Clear):  Good antibacterial properties for wiping down surfaces such as kitchen worktops with dust or crumbs; though not much good against grease.  Can also be used in the rinse section of your dishwasher.

Bicarbonate of Soda:  Good for deeper cleaning against mold or where deposits build up such as your bath.  Also good for where you store food such as your fridge.

Borax:  Used before soap.  Can be used for your clothes or your dishwasher.  Not quite as good a conventional laundry powder or dishwasher tablets, but better for you and the environment.  It can leave a cloudy film on anything in the dishwasher, especially glasses.  Vinegar in the rinse will help to prevent this.

Spirits:  When you need to be very thorough with your hands you can rinse them in spirits such as Vodka.
(My lady uses this regularly . . . . I think it is a terrible waste J)

Iodine:  Very good for sterilising anything.  A few drops of iodine in water can also be used to kill bacteria on food fruit and vegetables for someone with an impaired immune system or even on open wounds.  Like vinegar and spirit it has strong anti bacterial quality, but it will not sting if used on tender injuries, or change the taste of food.  Iodine can come direct from the chemist general sterilisation, but if you want to use if on food or wounds, then I recommend that you get Lugol’s Iodine, which food grade.

Soap Nuts:  I thought I was being teased when I first heard of this.  Nuts from a tree called the soap nut tree can be used for washing laundry and are totally natural and renewable.

They do work, I’m not nuts . . . honest J

If you have any environmentally friendly tips for making your home a safer place, then please share it an leave a comment.

Dr Clark’s Cancer Protocol

April 24, 2008 · 3 Comments

Doctor Clark’s protocol is usually considered as an “alternative therapy”.  However, Dr Clark was a government cancer researcher for 25 years.  After becoming disillusioned that cancer research was being geared to the benefit of the pharmaceutical companies, she started her own research facility where she has worked for another 25 years.  Her protocol is therefore based on hard science and is not an esoteric life/universal energy based therapy.  Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against these therapies (I have practiced Reiki myself); I just want to make it clear that it is based on scientific study as that gives it more credibility for some people.

A local woman that I know personally used this system to cure herself from breast cancer after she had been told that there was nothing more that the conventional medical system could do for her (the British National Health Service).  Basically; she had been sent home to die.  I have since heard a number of similar stories.

So what is Clark’s Protocol?  It is very extensive and covers a number of different areas.  Below is a brief summary of the main components.

Living Environment:  To reduce the toxic load in the body and allow the immune system to get on with its job, as many chemicals as possible must be removed from the proximity of the patient as even very small chemical particles can slow down the healing.

Carpets and rugs should be removed as they hold dust and mites and should be replaced with something like laminate flooring.

Wallpaper leaches formaldehyde, so should either be painted over with special environmentally friendly paint or replaced with a plastered wall.

All household cleaning should be done with natural products, not supermarket chemical products.

Household cleanliness must be kept very high.

Water:  Must be pure and filtered.  Even bottled water can contain too many impurities for somebody with cancer.  High street water filters do not remove enough impurities either.  Although the chlorine that is authorised for use in our water supply is relatively benign to the human body, there is a myth in the water industry that it is the same as laundry bleach.  As laundry bleach is cheaper and can be easier to apply, it is sometimes used in place of chlorine.  However, it is toxic, it feeds cancer and ordinary water filters will not remove it.

You should consider a whole house water filter and not just a filter for drinking water, as water can be absorbed through the skin when you shower/bath.  It can also be absorbed by the clothes you wear next to your skin and dry on your dishes and cutlery when you wash them.

Personal Care:  This is especially difficult for the ladies.  No ordinary make up, no hair dye, no hair spray, no perfume and no scented soap or shampoo.  Again this is to reduce toxic load in the body which feeds the tumour and distracts an already impaired immune system.  There are a few approved brands of make up which are clean of harmful chemicals, notably Miessence (I am not a distributor).

Diet:  Should be totally organic.  Clark has noted that many tumours are linked with specific bacteria and parasites.  She has studied which foods feed which bacteria/parasites and a personalised diet needs to be made out.  Even fruit and vegetables that would normally be considered as healthy eating may need to be excluded if they also feed these specific bacteria/parasites.

Supplements:  Must be very pure and organic.  There is a very wide range of supplements, which needs to tailored to the specific needs of the patient.  The supplements recommended will take account of factors such as what type of cancer the patient has, what bacteria/parasites are present and what stage of the process the patient is at.

A tumour is like a haven for bacteria, viruses and parasites; which are released into the body as the tumour starts to break down.  Furthermore, as the tumour dies it is like having a lump of rotting meat inside the body.  As it breaks down, dead pieces of tumour go floating around the body and need to be extracted.  Therefore the organs dealing with detoxifying the body (notably kidneys and liver) need extra support during this period to prevent death by organ failure.

Teeth:  All metal must be removed.  Research has proven that heavy metals in the mouth are linked to cancer.

Also, where a tooth has had a route canal filling, the base of the tooth is usually infected, which in turn infects the jawbone where it is attached.  The Clark protocol dictates that any teeth with route canal fillings should be extracted, the gum peeled back and the jawbone itself surgically cleaned up.

Zapping:  This works a little bit like a TENS machine, sending a specific electrical frequency around to body to support organ function, or to kill bacteria and parasites.

The description above is by no means exhaustive and there is more to the Clark Protocol.  Having been extensively involved with it as a carer, I must admit that the Clark Protocol is very difficult to keep up with all the many facets of it.  However, I would recommend to anybody with cancer, have a look at it and read Dr Clarks book.  It is a good base line to support any other therapy, be it conventional or alternative.  Should you wanted to follow it on its own then you need a lot of support.  The local lady I know who cured herself with this protocol had her husband and about 3 late teen/early 20’s daughters to support her.  I have had to do it on my own with a daughter to raise too and it has been extremely difficult.  I had to give up the day job to become a full time carer.

If you have a team of family/friends and can follow the Clark Protocol in detail, then it can be very effective on its own.

However, if you don’t have a least one person who can dedicate themselves as a full time carer (with no other family commitments), then I do not recommend you try this protocol in isolation, as it is so work intensive.  It is best with a “team” of carers.  I would recommend however that you apply all that you are reasonably are able to do, as it will support your other cancer therapy.

Furthermore, you need an expert advisor and testing as you will need to have a tailored program, otherwise you can waste a lot of time and money.
