In the March issue of the Dr Clark Zentrum Newsletter, there is a whole page enclosed on Colloidal Silver. It states that:
“In vitro, colloidal silver has been shown to kill certain bacteria, fungus and viruses, and even tumor cells”.
As I sell colloidal silver, it would be great for me to be able claim that it kills tumor cells, but I must in all honesty say that I’ve never heard this claim before, or seen anything to back it up. The brand of colloidal silver that I promote has been far more extensively tested than any other brand available, yet I’ve never heard any mention of this before.
I will say that when my partner had cancer and the tumors had burst through the skin, colloidal silver was effective at keeping it clean. The tumors emitted a thick liquid with a foul smell (which we assumed was bacteria). When silver was regularly applied, the liquid thinned out and did not smell nearly as strong. Although from my own personal experience (rather than scientific studies) I would advocate the colloidal silver for keeping a tumor clean, I have not seen any evidence that it kills cancer cells.
That said, the Clark foundation does specialise in cancer research, so it is possible that they have been involved in research that I am not aware of.
Whilst on that subject, some of my long-term readers will remember that I reported on some of the cancer therapies we tried at that time. Sadly Michele did not make it and passed away in 2008. Some people may have been surprised that I did not say too much about it at the time or express very much emotion on my blog. I would just like to explain, that my feelings were/are private and I did not wish to share them on the internet. That is not criticise people who do share their feelings of loss on their own blogs when they lose somebody; it is just not my way and I hope that you will understand and respect that this is just my way of dealing with things.
As part of her protocol, the late Dr Hulda Clark used small currents on human cells to support organ function and to disrupt pathogens, parasites and cancer cells. This was never supported by mainstream medicine.
However, the March Newsletter from the Dr Clark Zentrum, claims that more modern research supports what Dr Clark was advocating decades ago. The newsletter refers to a study which reports that “small electrical currents can inhibit cancer cells“. This report states:
“The alternating electric fields of very low frequencies (less than 1 kHz) have shown to stimulate excitable tissues such as nerve, muscle and heart. Low frequency electric fields also claim to stimulate bone growth and accelerate fracture healing. At very high frequencies tissue heating becomes dominant, thus serving the basis for some commonly used medical treatments such as diathermy and radio frequency tumour ablation”.
The Newsletter continues that since the early nineties, Dr Clark pointed out that parasites can release growth factors that turn cells cancerous. Completely dismissed by mainstream which does not even consider parasites, a new study now confirms that the human liver fluke does actually do just that.
“It has been known that certain proteins secreted by O. viverrini cause cell growth, however the identity of the protein was unknown. We also knew that the parasite secreted granulin but we did not know that it could affect the human cells around it. This discovery leads the way to a better understanding of how this parasite causes such a devastating form of cancer”.
Although it is claimed to be the “first research”, Dr Clark was advocating this many years ago.
As per the first part of my posting, the body isolates damaged fats that it is unable to process in various parts of the body. Isolated fats are present in cancerous cells, muscles with rheumatic disease and around heart muscle where heart infarction occurs. Dr Budwig recommends pure organic unsaturated fats (especially flax seed oil).
But just how do unsaturated fats help the human body?
Dr Budwig explains that in growing healthy cells, there is a small electrical charge. The nucleus is positive and the cell membrane is negative. Like a mini battery. If these tiny “batteries” go flat, we start to develop problems. Whatever other healthy foods we may consume, damaged cells are unable to absorb them properly.
The cell membrane consists partly of unsaturated fats and when cells divide, the surface are (membrane) has to increase in size. Undamaged unsaturated fats are required to assist this process. Also, as mentioned in my previous posting, when strands undamaged unsaturated fats link, they release electrons. These electrons help replenish the negative charge of cell membrane, thus “re-charging” the cell.
In her book, “Flax Oil As A True Aid Against Arthritis, Heart Infarction, Cancer And Other Diseases”, Dr Johanna Budwig wrote with regard to cancer:
“the only substance which characterised the cancerous cells, as opposed to healthy ones, was isolated fat; the formation of fat in the cell nucleus, cell body and cytoplasm. It was the single distinguishing feature of cancerous cells in contrast to healthy ones”.
Regarding heart infarction, she wrote:
“Anatomically speaking, heart infarction observation studies reveal nothing abnormal in the picture except for solid fat, which encircles the normally lean heart muscle, confining and disturbing the heart’s action”.
Referencing rheumatism, she wrote:
“In rheumatic disease, the only factor which distinguishes the diseased muscles from healthy ones is isolated fat – a clear “No!” to this substance”.
That was all written decades ago, so it is possible that things have changed since then, I don’t know. However, as much as these diseases may be very broad subjects with many contributing factors (especially cancer), isolated fat in the cells, muscles and heart; self evidently can’t be a good thing.
So why is fat found in these places? Budwig writes:
“When living tissue rejects some fats, the body isolates them – and this is the crux – and deposits them in places where fats are not normally found”.
Basically, we are consuming fats that the body cannot process so they are being put into deep storage by the body. Does that mean that we should stop eating fats?
No, definitely not. The body needs fats. Budwig say that what we need (especially in the West) is more highly unsaturated fats. The technicalities of what makes unsaturated fats different to saturated fats is beyond the scope of this posting and may be covered later. However, the main thing about unsaturated fats is that they generate electrons inside the body, which are quickly conducted off the body causing a recharging effect of living tissue, especially nerves and the brain.
So why is that we need fats, yet the body rejects and isolates some fats? It is mainly the industrial process by which they are produced which damages the fats before we consume them. Oxygen stabilise the unsaturated fats to improve shelf life and make them easier to spread, but destroys their ability to release the electrons that cause the recharging effect inside us. Even if we take an organic unsaturated fat like flaxseed (which is at the centre of Dr Budwig protocol) and cook with it, the high temperatures will oxygenate in and render it harmful to our bodies.
To make the most of flaxseed oil (or any other oil containing unsaturated fats), we need to know that they have been not been overly processed and we mustn’t cook with them. We must find other ways to consume them, which I have covered in earlier postings.
So what oils can you cook with? One of the best is coconut oil, because it is already saturated and therefore does not oxygenate at high temperatures. It is also rich in nutrients so is healthy in its own right.
As regular readers will know, I am not a fan of the pharmaceutical companies and I am interested in alternative health methods. I therefore brought the book and I thought I would share my humble opinion with you.
Firstly though, I will emphasise that although I consider myself to be quite well informed, I have no medical training and this is just my opinion. It should not be considered as medical advice.
I did not agree with all that was said in the book, but its bottom line reasoning does make a lot of sense to me. The book reasons that as our bodies are 70% to 80% water and water is 89% oxygen (by weight); then our bodies are 62% to 71% oxygen. We can go without food and drink for days or even weeks, but will only last minutes without oxygen. Oxygen really is THE most important element for human life. We always feel better for a bit of fresh air, yet sluggish when staying indoors or in a smoky environment for too long.
Viruses, pathogenic bacteria and even cancer cells are anaerobic (thrive without oxygen) whilst the useful probiotic bacteria are aerobic (need oxygen). So every cell in our body as well as the good bacteria that supports our life, all need a good supply of oxygen; whilst viruses, pathogenic bacteria and defective cells (like cancer cells) die in the presence of too much oxygen. The One Minute Cure continues that we seldom get enough oxygen, especially if we live in areas of high pollution (always associated with higher disease rate and chemical sensitivity).
The One Minute Cure also quotes a theory stating that viruses and pathogenic bacteria do not in themselves cause disease, they look for an environment that they can thrive in (low oxygen). I would argue that viruses and pathogens do actually cause disease, but obviously a well oxygenated body will fight the disease a lot more efficiently.
So bearing in mind than most of us do not have the time to spend all day on a mountain side practising deep breathing exercises, how do we efficiently oxygenate our bodies every day?
The One Minute Cure gives two main methods, the first being ozone therapy. Oxygen is usually in the form of O2, that is 2 oxygen atoms joined together. Ozone is O3, which is 3 oxygen atoms joined together. You can see then that ozone provide an extra oxygen atom which obviously helps to super-oxygenate the body. However, specialist equipment is needed and it can not easily be self administered. If you go to a therapist, it can get expensive too.
The other method is much simpler and much more available. It is simply to dilute an easily obtainable oxygen rich substance in pure water. However, it comes with a warning as it can be dangerous if not applied properly:
1. It must be diluted properly
2. It must be food grade (no other grade)
3. It must be taken several hours apart from food
If the guidelines are followed, then it is very safe, very cheap and supposedly very effective. I am not going to name the substance here because to be blunt, I don’t want to be responsible for somebody not doing it right, harming themselves or their loved ones and then blaming me. I won’t take that responsibility, so get the book and do it right.
Where I did not completely agree with the book is that it slates the pharmaceutical companies and the nutritional supplement industry. I agree with most of what it says about the pharmaceutical companies, but I do acknowledge that we need them for some things (when natural methods are exhausted). As for the nutritional supplements industry, I agree that there are a lot of products that do not live up to their claims or hype and are a waste of money. However, with a bit of research you can find some very powerful nutritional supplements, yet The One Minute Cure (although not saying it outright) gives the impression that all nutritional supplements are a waste (which I can not agree with). That said, the best nutritional supplements do tend to be more expensive, yet the One Minute Cure does offer a much cheaper alternative, that potentially may do the same job.
It also refers to colloidal silver stating that it can turn you blue (yawn – not that one again)! I have answered that one so many times I will not bother here, but again The One Minute Cure does insinuate the worst case scenario, rather than a balanced overview.
It also quotes that 15,000 European doctors, naturopaths and homeopaths have administered this substance to over 10 million patients. Without actually saying so, it gives that impression that this substance was administered in isolation. However, I suspect that it was administered as part of a protocol along with other supplements (just my guess).
Overall however, I thought The One Minute Cure made a lot of sense and though I have doubts that it can completely cure virtually all diseases on its own, it does make sense that it will assist the body in fighting most diseases, viruses and pathogens, and increase the chances of returning to health. I also believe that it is a good cheap maintenance method to help prevent you from getting ill in the first place (much cheaper than the best nutritional supplements). I have some of the substance on order and am looking forward to trying it out. I’ll let you know what I find.
One of the most popular keywords that brings people to this blog is, “Dr Clark”, as her amazing work on fighting cancer is becoming increasingly popular, especially as more and more people turn away from orthodox cancer medicine due to its toxic side effects. It occurred to me that I still get a newsletter from the main Dr Clark website, which will be of interest to people looking for more information on the Dr Clark’s protocol.
So if you want to stay abreast of the latest developments from the Dr Clark researchers, then go to http://www.drclark.net. In the top right hand corner you will see a box which states, “Get Dr. Clark’s latest researches, news and updates FREE!“. Next to this is a box where you enter your email address and submit.
These updates are a must for anybody who is seriously interested in following the Dr Clark Protocol.
In a recent newsletter by Dr Mercola, he reports on a study which demonstrates that vitamin D from sunlight can reduce the risk of prostrate cancer. 160 prostrate cancer sufferers were categorised as having either low, medium or high levels of vitamin D. Over the course of the study, sadly 52 men died from their prostrate cancers. The highest death rate was amongst those with the lowest levels of vitamin D. Those with high levels of Vitamin D were found to be 7 times less likely to die.
Dr Mercola points out that in the USA, prostrate cancer is the second most common form of cancer amongst men and it is estimated that an enormous 1 in 6 American men will suffer with it during their life time.
Getting more sunlight (even in the UK where I live) is really a matter of lifestyle. Simple lifestyle changes can make a big difference to your chances of surviving prostrate cancer, or even preventing it from developing in the first place.
Although this study is good news, it is not really new. Both Dr Hulda Clark and Dr Budwig who pioneered much of the alternative/complementary approach to fighting cancer recommended as much sunlight as possible decades ago. It seems that the mainstream is only just now catching up. The Clark protocol is very detailed an difficult to follow. However, it is easy and quite cheap to include elements of the Budwig Oil-Protein Diet into your daily diet.
If you fear that you may be at risk of any type of cancer (or if you already have it), then get as much sunlight as you can and get yourself the Oil-Protein Diet Book. Both are simple lifestyle changes that can really make a big difference and possibly save your life.
Furthermore, Vitamin D assists in inducing giloma cell death, which could makes it of possible use for the management of brain tumours. To elaborate on this point, when healthy cells divide one cell will mature and die, whilst the “daughter” cell will continue to grow maintaining a balance. Cancer cells do not mature like ordinary cells do, so whey they divide both resultant cells continue to grow and divide again (hence no cell death leading to tumour growth). At first glance, assisting cell death may not sound good, but in the context of cancer cells it is a very good thing.
A key principle of the Dr Clark anti cancer protocol is the removal of all heavy metals (especially mercury) from the body and has used Vitamin D for many years. Dr Budwig’s anti cancer diet, whilst emphasising on use of healthy oils to maintain cellular health is based on allowing the cancer cells to divide and fully mature so as to allow them to die naturally (whereas other cancer therapies are based on preventing cell division).
Vitamin D is not very readily available in out diet, with fish liver being the only significant source. The main source of Vitamin D is UV sun-light direct on our skin. It is ironic then that over the last couple of decades, too much sun-light has been associated with causing cancer and the suntan lotion industry has thrived. Being 46 myself, we hardly bothered with it as children, whereas parents today are very cautious with their children when the sun comes out. It has been suggested that the official guidlines on exposure to sun-light (and blocking it out with lotions) are almost certain to be revised as research into Vitamin D continues. In the meantime, I think the key word has to be the much used advice by wise people the World over and that is: “moderation”.
Incidentally both Dr Clark and Dr Budwig recommended getting as much sun-light as reasonably possible (obviously without burning yourself).
Other research into Vitamin D has found that it can prevent or treat infections & inflammation, depression & neurological disorders, colds and flu, diabetes, osteoporosis, tuberculosis and much more.
As with Part 1 and 2 of this posting, the Budwig Oil-Protein diet which has applications for cancer sufferers to athletes, is very versatile. Another important component is Oleolox (don’t ask me how to pronounce it, I have enough trouble spelling it).
Put the Flax Seed Oil in the freezer to chill for half an hour. Slice onion and brown it slightly in the coconut oil for about 15 minutes. Then add 10 garlic cloves and heat for another 3 minutes. Strain the coconut oil through a sieve into the chilled Flax Seed Oil, mix in and store in the fridge.
When it cools down it becomes solid (though soft) and is ready to use. It can be used as a spread just like butter though it is a matter of taste. I like it, some don’t. It can be used as a salad dressing and to flavour stews or casseroles. But as with the Flax oil/quark/milk mix in Part 2 of this posting, warm by all means but don’t boil it or you damage the electron field of the Flax Seed Oil. It is this electron field that gives Flax Seed Oil its health giving properties.
Many uses for Oleolox are given in Dr Budwig’s recipe book. Although I have been advised that the Flax Seed Oil will negate the effects of a dairy allergy (Part 2) when using it with quark and milk, the advantage of Oleolox is that there is no dairy at all.
At the heart of the Budwig Oil-Protein diet is Flax Oil and Cottage Cheese or Quark (protein). As mentioned in Part 1 of this posting, the protein makes the the essential fatty acids more soluble and hence better absorbed by the body.
Before going any further, many people will be saying, “yes, but I have a dairy allergy”. So did my Michele, but our therapist told us that good done by the flax oil would over-ride the damage of the dairy. She was allowed to take dairy, but only with the flax oil. However, I would suggest that you discuss this with your own doctor or therapist if you have any doubts.
Dr Budwig has written a receipe book which contains quite a variety. One recurring part however is the following key ingredients mixed together in a blender:
3 tblsp of Flax Seed Oil
100grams of Quark
2 tblsp of milk
This gives a slightly thick yogurt like consistency which is the base for numerous uses. It can be sweetened with a tblsp of honey and used as a topping for breakfast (on top of fruit and blended mix of linseeds and honey (we found this topping a bit thick and added a little extra milk, but try to your own taste).
You can make an type of ice cream from it by adding honey, fruit, fruit juice concentrate, cocoa or whatever you can dream up to flavour it. We found banana was one of the best, but its up to your taste and imagination. I would often double or treble the quantities and use some for breakfast and some for ice cream to cut down on time and work.
If you add honey, fruit, ice and extra milk, you can make a fruit smoothie out of it.
If you are trying to keep sugar free, then you might like to replace the honey with stevia, which is very sweet and all natural.
With an extra tbsp of milk, 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp of mustard and some salt, you can make a mayonnaise substitute. Several variations are given in the recipe book as well as recipes for chutney.
You can experiment for yourself too. Bearing in mind that food should not be cooked in oil (even good oils get damaged by over heating), I used to prepare meat and vegetables in a frying pan with a lid and a small amount of water. The lid creates extra pressure which allows the water/steam to reach higher temperatures than it can at atmospheric pressure, though you do need to keep a close eye to make sure it does not boil dry. I would then add the basic blend (quark/flax oil/milk) with grated cheese, salt and herbs to make a white cheese sauce (not in Budwig’ recipebook, but we liked it). I would heat it only until the cheese melted as overheating would damage its healing properties.
Another alternative was to use it as a curry base (many curries use yogurt which is similar consistency). Again cook meat and vegetables as above, adding curry spices. When it is cooked add the mix (with more spices if you like and again heat it but don’t boil it.
As mentioned in my previous posting, this diet is used by people with a wide range of chronic diseases and by athletes looking to improve their energy level for maximum performance (and not have to worry about drug testing). It is versatile, quite tasty, and relatively cheap compared to other diets (especially cancer diets).
I would recommend Budwig’s recipe book to anybody interesting in maintaining their health, or anybody that fears that they might be in a risk category. I still use it regularly myself, especially the ice creams as I can make up a big quantity and freeze it . . . . yes I’m lazy Sadly it’s too late for my Michele, but it might not be for you or your loved one. If you only buy one book this year, I recommend that you make it this one.
